Professor Dr. Angelo Ranaldo who holds a chair in "Finance and Systemic Risk" at the University of St. Gallen (s/bf-HSG) seeks to appoint a

Research Assistant


This is a part-time work position (50 - 70 %) and should start in June 2017 or later.

The candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in one of the core areas of the chair: asset pricing, exchange rates, market microstructure, systemic risk or monetary policy.


  • Master degree in finance, economics, or econometrics with excellent grades.
  • Commitment to top-quality research targeting publications in leading academic journals, and desire to pursue an academic career.
  • Commitment to support teaching excellence.
  • Advanced programming (e.g., Matlab, R, Stata) and data analysis skills.
  • Advanced English language and communication skills.
