The Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) at the Università della Svizzera italiana Lugano (USI) opens a post-doctoral research position. SFI is a private foundation created in 2006 by Switzerland's banking and finance community in cooperation with leading Swiss universities. It supports and advances research, doctoral training and executive education in banking and finance. SFI is supported by the Swiss banks, six Swiss universities, the Swiss Federal Government, and SIX Swiss Exchange, the leading independent exchange in Europe. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct empirical research in finance, preferably but not exclusively in the areas capital market regulation, corporate governance, and crowdfunding. The candidate is expected to contribute to collaborative research projects and grant proposals as well as publishing high-quality working papers. There is no mandatory teaching load but some light teaching support will be required. It is assumed that the candidate for this position is willing to work at the SFI Lugano-USI and reside in Ticino, Switzerland. The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications:
